On this tour, we'll explore the Chocolate Route of Ilhéus and visit a cocoa farm to discover the origins of chocolate.

Day Trip to a Cocoa Farm

Between 8 and 8:40 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ilhéus to start the Chocolate Route. We will board a minibus to explore the road connecting the cocoa-producing farms to this town.

As we traverse the Atlantic Forest rich in cocoa plantations, we will learn about the area's cocoa fame. The chocolate produced here has received awards in Europe, and some companies have a history of over 250 years.

We will stop at a hacienda to observe the daily work among the cocoa trees and gain insights into cultivation and harvesting. Additionally, we will discover various products made from cocoa beyond typical chocolate bars.

We will taste delicious homemade chocolate from the farm and, if desired, purchase other sweets as souvenirs.

The activity concludes with a return to your hotel by 1 pm.
