Description
Between 8 and 8:40, we'll pick you up at your hotel, and at 9, we'll begin this guided tour of Ilhéus, a city known for its beaches and its rich historical and cultural heritage.
Ilhéus was a source of inspiration for the writer Jorge Amado. On this tour, we'll visit locations featured in his works, such as the Vesúvio bar and the Bataclan cabaret, known for "Gabriela, Cravo e Canela."
We'll see the Cathedral of San Sebastian, admiring its neoclassical facade, and visit Jorge Amado's House of Culture to learn about the writer's life.
The last stop will be at the mansion of Colonel Misael Tavares, known as the King of Cocoa, where we’ll discuss his significance and the importance of cocoa in the region.
After four hours, we'll conclude the tour by accompanying you back to your hotel.
