Ivalo Forest Fat Bike Tour

On this fat bike tour in Ivalo, we will cycle around snowy towns and trails and explore untouched nature in the Finnish Lapland.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Ivalontie 12, where we will start our journey into the Lapland wilderness on fat bikes, designed for snowy terrain. Riding them is quite manageable.

As we navigate through snowy trails, we will encounter some of Ivalo's towns and forests. During one of our stops, a snack and hot drink will be provided to keep us warm.

We will also pass by the Ivalo River and its streams, known as vuopaja, and learn about the history of the towns along the river, including how they have coped with flooding and extreme weather conditions.

After the fat bike ride in Ivalo, we will return to the starting point, three hours after beginning the activity.
