Snowshoeing under the Northern Lights

On this snowshoeing activity, we'll explore the forests in Ivalo and the areas surrounding Lake Inari in search of the Northern Lights.

Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Ivalo at the designated time to head to the forests around Lake Inari, located in Lapland. Participants will don snowshoes and collect walking poles and necessary equipment to traverse the snowy terrain. The adventure will include enjoying the natural scenery and engaging in fun games in the snow.

We will keep an eye out for the Northern Lights and learn about the science behind this natural phenomenon along with optimal conditions for viewing it. After the tour, we will return to Ivalo by bus, dropping participants off at their hotel approximately 4 hours after initial pickup.

As this is a natural phenomenon, it is impossible to guarantee the visibility of the Northern Lights during the tour.

Weather conditions may necessitate changes; we may use skis or a vehicle instead of snowshoes for the route.
