Day 1: Huaraz - Hatun Machay

We'll collect you from your hotel in Huaraz at the scheduled time to commence this exhilarating 2-day journey in Hatun Machay, the renowned stone forest of Peru. Our route takes us southward, passing through villages such as Recuay, Ticapam, and Catac before heading towards the Cordillera Negra. Upon arrival, we will go through the checkpoint and embark on a 20-minute hike to Hatun Machay, recognized as Cultural Heritage of the Nation.

In this area, we will encounter cave paintings, petroglyphs, and unique rock formations. We will equip you for rock climbing here, with various routes from 15 to 60 meters (50 - 196 feet) to accommodate all skill levels. Your guide will ensure your safety and enhance your climbing experience.

After climbing, we'll head to the base camp for dinner and spend the night in tents.

Day 2: Hatun Machay - Huaraz

The following morning, after breakfast, we'll return to the stone forest for another climbing session. We will then take the minibus back to Huaraz, dropping you off at your hotel around 2 pm.
