Day 1: Huaraz - Hatun Machay

We will collect you from your hotel in Huaraz at the scheduled time to begin this 2-day journey in Hatun Machay, the renowned stone forest of Peru. Our route takes us through villages such as Recuay, Ticapam, and Catac before detouring towards the Cordillera Negra. Upon arrival, we will go through the checkpoint and embark on a 20-minute hike to Hatun Machay, designated as Cultural Heritage of the Nation.

As we explore, we will encounter cave paintings, petroglyphs, and rock formations. We will then equip you for rock climbing in this extraordinary setting. Hatun Machay offers routes ranging from 15 to 60 meters (50 - 196 feet), catering to all skill levels. Your guide will assist you in climbing safely.

After climbing, we will proceed to the base camp for dinner and spend the night in tents.

Day 2: Hatun Machay - Huaraz

The following morning, after breakfast, we will return to the stone forest for more climbing. We will then head back to the minibus and begin our journey to Huaraz, arriving at your hotel around 2 pm.
