Churup Lagoon Hiking Tour

Do you like adventure? On this hiking route to the Churup Lagoon, we'll enjoy a walk through the landscapes of the Huascaran National Park!

Hiking Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Huaraz. We'll travel in a comfortable vehicle through typical Andean villages until we reach Pitec, which is located at 3,850 meters (12,631 feet) above sea level.

Once we arrive, we'll admire views of notable snow-capped peaks in the Huascaran National Park, such as Vallunaraju, Ocshapalca, Ranrapalca, Rimarima, San Juan, and Churup, our next destination!

We'll start the trekking route along the ridge from Pitec. The hike includes steep sections where we'll need to use ropes for ascent. The guide will assist us during this 2-hour route.

Finally, we'll reach the Churup Lagoon, situated at the foot of the mountain of the same name. Here, you'll have free time to enjoy the views and rest. We will then start the walk back to Pitec, where the minibus will be waiting to take us back to Huaraz.

The excursion will conclude with your return to the hotel after approximately 9 hours.
