Cordillera Blanca Ice Climbing Tour

Prepare for an adrenaline-pumping ice-climbing adventure in the Cordillera Blanca on this excursion to Nevado Huarapasca or Ishinca.

When making your reservation, you can choose from the following options. Both options include hotel pickup and drop-off, a climbing guide, and all necessary mountain climbing equipment.

1-Day climb at Nevado Huarapasca

The tour starts with a 3 am pickup, heading to Catac, the entry point to Nevado Huarapasca. This location is suitable for beginner ice climbing due to its one-day route.

After arriving, we will hike for an hour to reach the glacier, where the ice-climbing adventure begins. We provide expert guidance for safety throughout the climb.

After climbing for four hours, we will reach the summit, enjoy the views, and then descend. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Huaraz by around 7 pm.

2-Day climb at Nevado Vallunaraju

This option includes a hike of two to three hours to Nevado Vallunaraju after departing for Quebrada Llaca.

We'll return to a base camp at an elevation of 4,500 meters (14,763 feet) to set up tents for the night.

The next morning, after breakfast, we'll begin our glacier trekking adventure which lasts about four to five hours. Post-climb, we will return to Huaraz by around 1 pm.

3-Day climb at Nevado Ishinca

This option offers three days of adventure on Ishinca, a prominent peak in the Cordillera Blanca. The tour starts with an 8 am pickup and a three-hour hike to set up camp.

Day two is summit day, where we will ascend Nevado Ishinca and enjoy breathtaking views of surrounding peaks. The day concludes with a return to base camp in Palcaraju.

On the final day, we will trek through the gorge to reach Collón and drop you off at your hotel in Huaraz around 2 pm.
