Cordillera Blanca Ice Climbing Tour

Prepare for an adrenaline-pumping ice-climbing adventure in the Cordillera Blanca on this excursion to Nevado Huarapasca or Ishinca.

Choose from the following options when making your reservation. All options include hotel pickup and drop-off, a climbing guide, and all necessary mountain climbing equipment.

1-Day climb at Nevado Huarapasca

The tour starts at 3 am with pickup, leading to Catac, the entry point of Nevado Huarapasca. After an hour of hiking, we'll reach the glacier to begin ice climbing. This route is suitable for beginners, and we provide expert guidance for safety.

Following four hours of ice climbing, we’ll reach the summit to enjoy views of the Cordillera Blanca before descending. We'll return to your hotel in Huaraz by approximately 7 pm.

2-Day climb at Nevado Vallunaraju

This option involves a hike of two to three hours to Nevado Vallunaraju. At the end of the day, we will set up a base camp at 4,500 meters (14,763 feet). After breakfast, we start the glacier trekking adventure, taking around four to five hours and requiring crampons.

After a rest, we'll begin our return journey, dropping you off at your Huaraz hotel around 1 pm.

3-Day climb at Nevado Ishinca

This option includes three days of climbing on Ishinca, beginning with a pickup at 8 am. We will hike for three hours through the Palcaraju massif to set up camp. Day two is for the summit ascent, combining hiking and ice climbing, with views of several peaks including Ranrapalca and Chinchey.

After returning to base camp for the night, we will trek through the gorge on the final day and drop you off at your hotel in Huaraz around 2 pm.
