Innsbruck City Tower Entrance
If your travels take you to Innsbruck and you seek unforgettable views, the City Tower is a must-visit. Your admission allows you to ascend 133 steps, reaching an elevation of 31 metres for a remarkable outlook over the Austrian town's landscape.
This historic tower, constructed in 1450, played a crucial role in alerting residents to potential threats during the medieval era. Rising up to 50 metres, the dome stands as a key feature of the Tyrolean capital's skyline. Interestingly, the lower sections were once utilized as a prison.
At the summit, breathtaking scenes await you, showcasing the impressive Bergisel and Patscherkofel mountains, as well as the expansive Nordkette mountain range alongside the serene Eno River. Additionally, iconic landmarks come into view, including the Helbling House, the ancient Katzunghaus, and the magnificent Golden Roof, from which the emperor observed various celebrations.
