Visit the mountain pass of Jungfraujoch, considered the peak of Europe and declared a World Heritage Site.
Description
We'll meet at the designated time at Höheweg, 95 in Interlaken. From there, we will travel by bus to the Alpine village of Grindelwald, at an altitude of 1,034 metres.
In Grindelwald, we will ascend using the Eiger Express cable car to the Glacier Eiger station. Next, we will take a rack train ride to Jungfraujoch, the highest summit in Europe.
Jungfraujoch, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau peaks. Upon arrival, we will experience the Alpine Sensation show. Weather permitting, views from the Sphinx observatory and the Plateau viewpoint will enhance the visit, including sights of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in Europe. Additionally, you can explore the tunnels of the Ice Palace.
After approximately 2 hours 30 minutes of free time at Jungfraujoch, we will return by rack train to Lauterbrunnen and take a bus back to Interlaken, arriving after a total of 7 hours and 15 minutes.
