Visit the mountain pass of Jungfraujoch, considered the peak of Europe and declared a World Heritage Site.
Description
We'll meet at the designated time at Höheweg, 95, in Interlaken. We will travel by bus to the Alpine village of Grindelwald, located at 1,034 metres above sea level.
In Grindelwald, we will begin our ascent via the Eiger Express cable car to the Glacier Eiger station. We will then take a rack train to Jungfraujoch, the highest summit in Europe.
Jungfraujoch, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, offers views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. At the top, we'll experience the Alpine Sensation show.
Weather permitting, views from the Sphinx observatory and Plateau viewpoint will be available, showcasing the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in Europe. You can also explore the tunnels of the Ice Palace.
After approximately 2 hours 30 minutes of free time at Jungfraujoch, we will return by rack train to Lauterbrunnen. A bus will then take us back to Interlaken, concluding the trip after a total of 7 hours and 15 minutes.
