Applecross and the Highlands Trip
We will meet in the morning at Railway Terrace in Inverness to start our journey to the Applecross peninsula.
After approximately one and a half hours, we will arrive at our first stop, the village of Lochcarron, where you can take photos of the Loch Carron estuary.
Next, we will continue towards the Applecross peninsula, passing the remote village of Achnitraid and crossing the Bealach na Ba mountain pass. At the summit, we will stop to capture views of the highlands.
We will then descend to the village of Applecross, where you will discover the bay and the wildlife in the area, including otters and deer.
After exploring Applecross, we will begin our return trip to Inverness. During the journey, we will pass Loch Torridon and Beinn Eighe, the first National Nature Reserve in Great Britain founded in 1951.
On the way back, we will make a brief stop at the fishing village of Shieldaig to stretch our legs and have something to eat or drink if necessary. Our final stop will be Kinlochewe before we return to Inverness.
