Applecross and the Highlands Trip

We will meet in the morning at Railway Terrace in Inverness, where we will start our journey to the Applecross peninsula.

After approximately one and a half hours, we will arrive at our first stop, the village of Lochcarron, where you can take photos of the Loch Carron estuary.

We will continue towards the Applecross peninsula, passing the remote village of Achnitraid on the shores of Loch Kishorn and crossing the Bealach na Ba mountain pass. At the summit, we will make a stop to capture views of the highlands.

Next, we will descend to Applecross, where you can explore the bay and the local wildlife, including otters and deer.

After visiting Applecross, we will start our return trip to Inverness, passing locations such as Loch Torridon and Beinn Eighe, the first National Nature Reserve in Great Britain founded in 1951.

On the way back, we will make a brief stop at the fishing village of Shieldaig for refreshments if needed, with our final stop at Kinlochewe before returning to Inverness.
