We'll meet at the appointed time at Number 36 High Street and start our guided tour of Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands.
Inverness is known for its quality of life. We'll begin our walk through the main streets of Inverness, learning about its history.
The tour covers its evolution from a royal city to its role in the Jacobite uprisings and castle sieges. We'll stop at Inverness Castle, a red sandstone fortress built in 1836.
The tour continues to St. Andrew's Cathedral, the main religious building in the city, where we will view its façade similar to that of Notre Dame de Paris.
We will walk along the banks of the Loch Ness River and discuss the legend of the Loch Ness Monster.
Finally, we'll see the Old High Church, the oldest church in the town, concluding our tour after 1 hour 30 minutes of sightseeing.
