On this excursion to the Isle of Skye from Inverness we'll explore the wild landscapes of the north of Scotland, including Eilean Donan castle and Kilt Rock.
Isle of Skye Tour
We will meet at 19 Union Street in Inverness before embarking on our excursion to the Isle of Skye.
Our first stop will be at Eilean Donan Castle, known for its high towers and walls. Visitors can choose to explore the inside of the fortress or enjoy the surroundings and the views of Loch Duich.
Next, we will travel to the Isle of Skye, crossing over Skye Bridge and passing through the town of Portree. We will stop for an hour of free time to purchase lunch in one of the traditional restaurants.
After lunch, we will head to the Old Man of Storr to learn about the legend of this rock formation, notable not just on the Isle of Skye, but in all of Scotland.
We will then visit Kilt Rock, a viewpoint offering views of the Scottish seas, followed by a stop at Quiraing, a significant land formation in the northern part of the Isle of Skye.
After exploring the natural wonders of Skye, we will return to Inverness, completing our 12-hour excursion.
