If you're looking to explore the Scottish cliffs, this tour along the Moray Firth Coast is essential. Discover the towns of Portnockie and Cullen, the Troup Head Nature Reserve, and enjoy a whisky distillery experience.
Activity Details
We'll meet at number 15 Union Street in Inverness at the indicated time and leave for the Moray Firth. Our first stop will be the historic village of Findhorn, where we will take a leisurely stroll along its beach.
Next, we head to Portknockie to see the Bow Fiddle Rock natural arch, followed by a visit to Cullen, known for its Cullen Skink soup. You’ll have free time to explore the town and taste this local specialty.
Afterward, we will go to the Troup Head Nature Reserve to see seabirds such as puffins and admire the cliffs. Then we will visit the Speyside whisky distillery for 30 minutes to learn about Scotland's famous beverage. Finally, we’ll stop in Carrbridge, known for its historic stone bridge, before returning to Inverness after 12 hours of exploration.
Puffin Sightings
Puffins are unpredictable, and sightings depend on natural and weather conditions.
Itinerary Changes
In August and September, the tour itinerary will change, eliminating the visit to Troup Head. Instead, we will visit Spey Bay, a coastal reserve with the largest shingle beach in Scotland and good wildlife observation opportunities, including dolphins. Additionally, we will see Aberlour, a village in Speyside on the River Spey.
