La Cocha Lagoon & La Corota Island Excursion

Pickup is at 9 am at Parque Santander in Ipiales. We will proceed to La Cocha Lagoon, the second-largest lake in Colombia.

The first stop will be the town of El Puerto, known for its Swiss-style wooden houses. Following this, we will visit a private residence of a local family, who will guide us through the area.

Family members will showcase their home garden and organic crops, followed by a typical lunch featuring vegetable soup, trout fillet, and a regional dessert.

After lunch, we will return to the lake's shores for a boat ride on La Cocha Lagoon. The ride includes a visit to the lush La Corota Island, where we will walk along a path to observe the diverse native flora and fauna.

Upon completing the tour of La Corota Island, we will return to the dock. After a refreshment of tea or natural juice, we will head back to the meeting point in Ipiales, arriving at 7 pm.
