La Cocha Lagoon & La Corota Island Excursion

We'll pick you up at 9 am at Parque Santander in Ipiales. From there we'll set off toward La Cocha Lagoon, the second-largest lake in Colombia.

We'll first visit the town of El Puerto, observing its Swiss-style wooden houses. Then we'll continue to the private residence of a local family, who will guide us through the area.

Family members will show us their home garden and organic crops. After this, we will share a typical lunch that includes vegetable soup, trout fillet, and a regional dessert.

After lunch, we'll return to the shores of the lake for a peaceful boat ride on La Cocha Lagoon. We'll sail to La Corota Island, where we'll walk along a path showcasing the native flora and fauna.

Upon concluding the tour of La Corota Island, we'll sail back to the docking area. After a refreshment of tea or natural juice, we will drive back to the meeting point in Ipiales, arriving at 7 pm.
