Want to explore two gems of northeast Brazil? With this tour to Recife and Olinda, we'll enjoy the many charms of two cities rich in history and heritage.
Day Trip Details
After picking you up at your hotel in Porto de Galinhas between 7:30 and 8:30 am, we'll head north to Recife, with a minibus ride lasting about an hour and a half.
Our first stop will be at Boa Viagem beach, where you can enjoy the views and, if desired, have free time for a catamaran ride on the Capibaribe River, known as the Brazilian Venice.
Next, we'll head to Praça Rio Branco (Marco Zero) to discuss its historical significance as the city's foundational point.
A guided tour of the main attractions in Recife will follow. We will walk along Rua dos Judeus, see the exterior of the Kahal Zur Israel Synagogue, visit the Embassy of Giant Puppets, explore the House of Culture for handicrafts, and view the Open-Air Museum ruins.
We'll then travel to Olinda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and you can choose to stroll through the old town or walk up to Alto da Sé for panoramic views of the city and main monuments, including the churches of Sé and Misericórdia.
The tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel between 6:30 and 7:30 pm.
Hotel Pickup
This tour includes pickup from hotels in the following Porto de Galinhas areas: Muro Alto, Praia do Cupe, Maracaípe, and central Porto de Galinhas. If your accommodation is not in these areas, we will contact you for an alternative meeting point.
