Isluga Volcano National Park Day Trip
At 6:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Iquique and head north to Isluga Volcano National Park.
Our first stop will be Unita Hill to see the Giant of Tarapacá geoglyph and discuss its significance. Next, we will visit the Chusmiza viewpoint to acclimatize to the high altitude while taking in views of the fertile valley and mountains of the Andean foothills.
We will then proceed to the Puchildiza Geysers to observe hot water and steam jets. Following this, we will visit Colchane, Mauque, and other villages within or near the Isluga Volcano National Park.
During this trip, you’ll learn about the Ayamara culture from local residents. We will take a lunch break at a restaurant in the park, featuring three local dishes.
After lunch, we'll continue to explore Isluga Volcano National Park, concluding with a visit to the village of Enquelga to enjoy their open-air hot springs.
Feeling refreshed, you will return to your hotel in Iquique by 9 pm.
