The Chilean altiplano includes diverse ecosystems in the Isluga Volcano National Park. Join our day trip from Iquique to explore this significant natural area in the Tarapacá region.
Isluga Volcano National Park Day Trip
At 6:30 am, pickup will be from your hotel in Iquique, followed by a northern journey to the Isluga Volcano National Park.
The first stop is Unita Hill to view the geoglyph of the Giant of Tarapacá. After this, we'll proceed to the Chusmiza viewpoint to acclimatize to the altitude while observing the fertile valley and Andes.
Next, we will visit the Puchildiza Geysers to witness hot water and steam eruptions, followed by a tour of Colchane, Mauque, and additional villages in the vicinity of the Isluga Volcano National Park.
You will learn about the region's Ayamara culture from local inhabitants. A restaurant lunch will feature three dishes of local gastronomy.
After lunch, we will continue to explore the park until reaching the village of Enquelga, where you can enjoy the open-air hot springs.
Feeling refreshed, you will return to your hotel in Iquique, with drop-off scheduled for 9 pm.
