The Chilean altiplano features remarkable ecosystems, including the breathtaking Isluga Volcano National Park. Embark on our day trip from Iquique to uncover one of Tarapacá's most stunning natural landscapes.
Day Trip to Isluga Volcano National Park
Your adventure begins at 6:30 am, when we'll collect you from your hotel in Iquique. We'll then head north toward the awe-inspiring Isluga Volcano National Park.
Our initial stop will be Unita Hill, where a magnificent geoglyph of a colossal figure awaits. This represents the Giant of Tarapacá. After discussing its cultural importance, we’ll move on to the Chusmiza viewpoint. Here, you’ll acclimatize to the altiplano altitude, all while taking in views of the fertile valley and the Andean foothills.
The journey will continue to the Puchildiza Geysers, where you can witness hot water and steam erupting from the ground. Following this, we’ll explore Colchane, Mauque, and other small villages nestled within the park's boundaries.
Engage with locals to gain insight into the Ayamara culture prevalent in the region. A delightful break at a restaurant within the park will allow you to enjoy a traditional meal consisting of three local dishes.
Post-lunch, we’ll delve deeper into the breathtaking vistas of Isluga Volcano National Park until we reach the village of Enquelga, known for its open-air hot springs where relaxation awaits.
After your refreshing experience, we will return you to your hotel in Iquique, with an estimated drop-off time of 9 pm.
