Want to explore the Peruvian Amazon? Join us on this 2, 3, 4, or 5-day tour along the Momon River from Iquitos, offering an opportunity to uncover the natural wonders and indigenous communities in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.

Description

Day 1

Upon arrival at 9 am, we will collect you from your hotel in Iquitos or airport and head to the river port. The adventure begins with a 3-hour boat journey along the Amazon, making stops at a nature reserve and an animal sanctuary. We will proceed to a riverside camp for an overnight stay, with lunch and a jungle trek to meet the Boras tribe, followed by a night hike.

Day 2

We will start with a bird-watching tour before breakfast, followed by explorations of the Nanay, Amazon, and Itaya rivers, including a visit to a local community and a 70-meter sequoia tree. After piranha fishing, we will transfer you back to your hotel or the airport, arriving around 5 pm.

3-Day Tour

The 3-day option repeats the first two days’ itinerary. On the third day, after early bird-watching and breakfast, we sail to the community of Padrecocha to see a butterfly farm, followed by lunch and either a kayaking excursion or a visit to San Andres.

4-Day Tour + Excursion to Belen

This option includes the previous itinerary and adds a visit to Belen on the fourth day. Following breakfast, we will explore Belen's canals, return for lunch, and visit San Andres before heading back to Iquitos around 5 pm.

4-Day Tour + Iquitos Tour

After following the previous itinerary, we will conduct a sightseeing tour of Iquitos on the fourth day, visiting key attractions like the Plaza de Armas, Casa de Hierro, and the Amazon Museum. We will also stop at Quistococha.

5-Day Tour

The 5-day tour incorporates all prior activities, including the excursions to Belen and the sightseeing tour of Iquitos.

Accommodation

Accommodation is at the Amazon Camp Lodge with meals included. Prices are based on double occupancy. Children under 5 years can join for free in the same room as an adult.

Flights

For those arriving by plane, please provide your flight details for transfer arrangements. Ensure flights land by 9 am and departures are by 5 pm on the last day for transfers.
