4-Day Amazon River Cruise

Day 1

Transfer from your hotel to Bellavista port for a boat ride to the jungle lodge. Stop at the confluence of the Amazon and Nanay rivers to observe local wildlife, including piranhas. Visit the AQL Timicurillo town to learn about its customs. In the evening, dinner at the lodge followed by an optional night walk.

Day 2

Visit Neyser Island for its snake sanctuary and observe wildlife like anteaters, sloths, monkeys, and turtles. Continue to the San Juan de Huashalado farm to see the ¨El Encanto de Rony¨ rescue centre, featuring anacondas and parrots. Sample aphrodisiac and medicinal drinks. After lunch, enjoy fishing on the Amazon River, followed by dinner and local legends.

Day 3

After breakfast, embark on a canoe tour on the Yanayacu River rich in biodiversity. Enjoy a meal at a farmer's house or on the boat, witnessing an Amazonian sunset on the return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4

Early sunrise walk followed by breakfast and community visit to learn traditional dances and crafts. Afternoon visit to a local indigenous community to learn about medicinal techniques. After lunch, a 2.5-hour return journey to Iquitos for hotel drop-off.

Itinerary Changes

If drought conditions prevent boat access to the lodge, participants will need to walk for about 30 minutes. Droughts usually last until November.

Tour Accommodation

The tour includes four nights of full-board accommodation at the Amazon Queen Lodge.

Included pickup from hotels in downtown Iquitos. For locations outside this area, a central meeting point will be provided after booking.
