4-Day Amazon River Cruise

Day 1

We'll pick you up from your hotel and head to Bellavista port for a boat transfer to our jungle lodge. We will stop at the meeting point of the Amazon and Nanay rivers to observe local wildlife. In the afternoon, a small boat will take us to a town to learn about the AQL Timicurillo’s customs. After dinner at the lodge, an optional night walk is available.

Day 2

The day begins with a visit to Neyser Island to explore its snake sanctuary. We will also see anteaters, sloths, monkeys, and turtles. Next, we will visit the El Encanto de Rony rescue centre at the San Juan de Huashalado farm to see anacondas and parrots. We will sample local aphrodisiac and medicinal drinks. In the afternoon, fishing in the Amazon River is planned, followed by viewing the sunset, and returning to the lodge for dinner with mythical tales of the Amazon.

Day 3

After breakfast, we'll take a canoe tour down the River Yanayacu, where we'll observe birds, monkeys, and dolphins. Lunch will be open-air, followed by a return trip to admire the sunset. We will conclude our day with dinner and relaxation at the lodge.

Day 4

The final day begins with an early morning jungle walk for sunrise watching. After breakfast, we'll visit a local community for traditional dances and crafts. An afternoon visit to an indigenous community will cover traditional medicinal techniques. After lunch, we will return to Iquitos in a 2.5 hour journey and drop you off at your hotel or a central location.

Itinerary Changes

Drought conditions may necessitate a 30-minute walk to reach the lodge, typically lasting until November.

This five-day tour includes four nights' full-board accommodation at the Amazon Queen Lodge.

Hotel Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in downtown Iquitos. For accommodations outside this area, a central meeting point will be provided after booking.
