Join this tour to explore the customs and traditions of indigenous Amazonian communities by boat from Iquitos. Sail on the Amazon and Itaya rivers and learn about the region's flora and fauna.
Activity Details
At the scheduled time, the group will meet at the pier in Iquitos to board a traditional boat for a visit to indigenous villages of the Amazon. This journey will include navigating along the Itaya River, where participants can appreciate the surrounding jungle landscape.
Upon reaching the confluence of the Amazon and Itaya Rivers, the trip will continue down the Nanay River, visiting the Bora and Kukama villages. Participants will disembark to interact with tribe members and learn about their customs and traditions.
The boat journey will also include a stop by the shore of Padre Cocha village to visit the Pilpintuwasi butterfly farm, an opportunity to observe various butterflies and exotic animals.
The tour will conclude at the pier in Iquitos, lasting approximately 6 to 7 hours.
