Join this tour and discover the customs and traditions of the indigenous Amazonian communities by boat from Iquitos. You'll sail on the Amazon and Itaya rivers and learn about their flora and fauna.
Activity Details
At the scheduled time, the group will meet at the pier in Iquitos, where we'll board a traditional boat to visit the indigenous villages of the Amazon. The journey includes sailing along the Itaya River, enjoying views of the jungle landscape. After reaching the confluence of the Amazon and Itaya Rivers, we’ll navigate down the Nanay River to visit the Bora and Kukama villages, interacting with tribe members to learn about their customs and traditions.
We'll continue the boat journey along the shore of the Padre Cocha village, where we can stop to visit the Pilpintuwasi butterfly farm, known for its variety of butterflies and exotic animals. Finally, we'll return to the pier in Iquitos, with the tour lasting 6 to 7 hours.

To enhance this experience, select the option that includes pickup and lunch. In this case, you’ll be collected from your hotel in Iquitos, followed by the tour and visit to the butterfly farm, concluding with lunch in a restaurant. Another option is available that does not include pickup but offers a lunch service on the boat consisting of Peruvian juane and drinks.
