Explore the stunning landscapes of the captivating Peruvian Amazon with this exciting excursion along the Amazon, Nanay, and Momon rivers from Iquitos—a journey you won't forget!

Excursion Along the Amazon, Nanay & Momon Rivers

Your adventure begins at 9 am, when we pick you up from your hotel in Iquitos to embark on a trip into the heart of the Amazon jungle. A boat will be ready to navigate the waters of the largest river in the world. As we glide through this vibrant ecosystem, marvel at the striking colors of the rainforest flora. The warm climate and high humidity have fostered the growth of towering trees that will leave you in awe.

During our expedition, we will visit an animal sanctuary that is home to a variety of wildlife, including macaws, toucans, monkeys, and snakes, alongside other reptiles like the anaconda. You will also get the chance to observe unique species endemic to this extraordinary region.

Continuing our journey, we will navigate the waters of one of Peru's three largest rivers, the Nanay, which stretches an impressive 315 kilometers (196 miles) and connects various communities, including Santo Tomás, Padre Cocha, and Santa Clara. Our exploration will then lead us to the Momon River.

A delightful buffet lunch will await us at an Amazonian camp. Following our meal, we will venture into the jungle for a brief trek to engage with the Boras Indigenous Peoples. Here, you'll gain insight into their rich traditions and lifestyles, and for those interested, there will be opportunities to participate in traditional dance performances.

Our day will conclude as we cruise back to the departure dock, returning you to your hotel in Iquitos by 5 pm.
