Amazon Rainforest 5 Day Tour

Day 1

After hotel pickup in Iquitos, we will travel to our jungle accommodation by boat, stopping to observe Amazon wildlife. Following a buffet lunch and a brief rest, we will visit the village of Timicurillo to learn about local life and traditional medicine. After dinner, an optional night walk in the jungle will be available.

Day 2

The day begins with a visit to Neyser Island's reptile sanctuary, featuring anacondas, monkeys, and sloths. Next, we will sail to San Juan de Huashalado to visit the rescue center "El Encanto de Rony," where various animal species can be seen. The afternoon includes sampling aphrodisiac beverages and medicinal concoctions, followed by fishing on the Amazon River and viewing a sunset before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 3

Day three involves an adventure on the Yanayacu River, where we will potentially swim with pink Amazon river dolphins and enjoy lunch at a local farmer's home. The day concludes with a stunning sunset over the Amazon and a restful night at camp.

Day 4

An optional 4 am sunrise walk is available for early risers. After breakfast, we will take a boat ride to the community of Sinchicuy, visit the indigenous Yagua tribe, and explore the Morphohuasi butterfly farm. An evening stroll will be offered for those who missed the sunrise experience.

Day 5

On the final day, we will sail to Monkey Island to interact with monkeys and visit a fruit and medicine plantation. After lunch at the lodge, we'll return to Iquitos, arriving around 4 pm.

Itinerary Changes

Due to drought conditions, a 30-minute walk will be required to reach the lodge.

Accommodation

The tour includes four nights of full-board accommodation at the Amazon Queen Lodge.

Pickup

Hotel pickup is included from downtown Iquitos. Alternative arrangements will be provided if staying outside this area.
