Amazon River: 3 Day Tour

Discover the wild landscapes and native wildlife of the northern Amazon Rainforest on this three-day tour of the Amazon River from Iquitos.

Tour Description

Day 1

On the first day, we will meet at Napo number 326 in Iquitos, travel to Bellavista port, and board a boat for our journey on the Amazon River. After arriving at our lodge and enjoying lunch, we will walk into the rainforest to visit a local Timicurillo indigenous community, learning about their culture before returning for dinner.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will cruise to Neyser Island to visit an animal sanctuary and observe native wildlife including anacondas, monkeys, sloths, and toucans. Next, we will visit the ¨El Encanto de Rony¨ rescue centre at San Juan de Huashalado farm, seeing various animals and tasting local aphrodisiac drinks and medicinal beverages. In the afternoon, we will fish in the Amazon River and watch the sunset before returning to the lodge for dinner and mythical tales.

Day 3

The final day offers an optional sunrise hike through the jungle starting at 4:30 am, recommended for experiencing daybreak over the Amazon. After breakfast, we will take a boat trip to Sinchicuy, learning about local handicrafts and fishing traditions, followed by dolphin watching. We will return to the lodge for lunch and then journey back to Iquitos, arriving around 4 pm.

Accommodation

This tour includes two nights' full-board accommodation at the Amazon Queen Lodge.
