Amazon River: 3 Day Tour

Discover the wild landscapes and native wildlife of the northern Amazon Rainforest on this three-day tour of the Amazon River from Iquitos.

Tour Description

Day 1

On the first day, meet at Napo number 326 in Iquitos and travel to Bellavista port to board a boat for the adventure on the Amazon River. After arriving at your accommodation, enjoy lunch followed by free time. In the afternoon, participate in a walk into the rainforest to visit a local Timicurillo indigenous community to learn about their culture before returning for dinner.

Day 2

Begin the day with breakfast, then cruise on the Amazon to Neyser Island to visit an animal sanctuary to see anacondas, monkeys, sloths, and toucans. Afterwards, visit the ¨El Encanto de Rony¨ rescue centre at San Juan de Huashalado farm to see various animals. Enjoy aphrodisiac drinks such as Rompe Calzón and 7 Raíces, among others, and try some medicinal drinks before fishing in the Amazon River and watching the sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and listen to mythical tales and legends.

Day 3

On the final day, opt for a sunrise hike through the jungle starting at 4:30 am. After breakfast, take a final boat trip on the Amazon River to visit Sinchicuy, an indigenous community known for handicrafts and fishing techniques, followed by searching for dolphins in the river. Return to the lodge for lunch and then travel back to Iquitos, arriving around 4 pm.

This three-day tour includes two nights' full-board accommodation at the Amazon Queen Lodge.
