Amazon & Ucayali 7-Day Cruise

The following itinerary is the route we'll follow if you join us on our 7-day cruise from December to May.

Day 1: Iquitos - Nauta

We'll pick you up from Iquitos airport and take you to the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel for lunch and a briefing on the itinerary of our 7-day Amazon cruise. Next, we'll accompany you to the port of Nauta where our ship awaits. You'll spend the evening settling in until dinner and then go on your first night excursion by boat on the Amazon River.

Day 2: Yanayacu de Yacapana - Vista Alegre - Ucayali River

We'll take a boat ride through the Yanayacu de Yacapana reserve before breakfast to spot wildlife. Following this, lunch will be provided, followed by a visit to the Vista Alegre butterfly farm and a piranha fishing activity in the Ucayali River. Dinner will include live music.

Day 3: Arroyo Marayali - Pahuachiro

The day starts with a boat trip on the Arroyo Marayali stream before breakfast, followed by a stroll through Pahuachiro.

Day 4: Nauta

After breakfast, we’ll travel to the city of Nauta by motorbike taxi to visit the local market. Then, dinner and an evening boat ride will follow.

Day 5: Marañon River - San Regis

We’ll observe pink dolphins at dawn followed by breakfast. Then, relax or swim in the Marañon River. We’ll visit the community of San Regis for a tree-planting ceremony and have dinner in San Regis.

Day 6: Arroyo Shiriyacu - San José de Zarapanga - Kukama - Puerto Prado

In the morning, we’ll visit the Arroyo Shiriyacu stream for piranha fishing. Dinner will be served aboard the cruiser after a cooking demonstration.

Day 7: Nauta - Amazon Rescue Centre - Iquitos

On our last day, we’ll have breakfast as we pull into the port of Nauta. A visit to the Amazon Rescue Centre will follow. The adventure concludes, and you'll be taken back to Iquitos Airport or your hotel.

June to November

From June to November the water level in the rivers and lagoons is lower, resulting in the following itinerary modifications:

Days 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7 will remain unchanged from December to May.Day 2: A boat trip on the Amazon River will replace the morning activity, followed by a walk through the jungle.Day 3: Morning visit to the community of Vista Alegre and its butterfly farm.

Accommodation

The tour includes 6 nights' accommodation on a cruiser with full board. The La Perla cruise ship features two decks and an observation deck. Cabins are equipped with essential amenities.
