Amazon & Ucayali 7-Day Cruise

This itinerary outlines the route for our cruise from December to May.

Day 1: Iquitos - Nauta

We will pick you up from Iquitos airport, have lunch at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, and provide a briefing on the cruise itinerary. You will then travel to the port of Nauta to board the ship and enjoy dinner and a night excursion on the Amazon River.

Day 2: Yanayacu de Yacapana - Vista Alegre - Ucayali River

The day starts with a wildlife boat ride in the Yanayacu de Yacapana reserve. After breakfast, visit the Vista Alegre butterfly farm, enjoy lunch, and partake in a piranha fishing activity in the Ucayali River, followed by dinner with live music.

Day 3: Arroyo Marayali - Pahuachiro

Start with a boat trip on the Arroyo Marayali stream, followed by breakfast and a walk in Pahuachiro. Dinner is served on board as the sun sets.

Day 4: Nauta

After breakfast, a motorbike taxi will take you to the local market in Nauta, highlighting Amazonian culture. Return for dinner and an evening boat ride.

Day 5: Marañon River - San Regis

Early morning to see pink dolphins, followed by breakfast and relaxation in the Marañon River. Visit the community of San Regis for a tree-planting ceremony and dinner before returning to the cruiser.

Day 6: Arroyo Shiriyacu - San José de Zarapanga - Kukama - Puerto Prado

Morning excursion to Arroyo Shiriyacu for piranha fishing, followed by lunch in San José de Zarapanga and an afternoon visit to the Kukama community. Enjoy a cooking demonstration and dinner aboard.

Day 7: Nauta - Amazon Rescue Centre - Iquitos

Breakfast as we dock at Nauta, then visit the Amazon Rescue Centre before concluding the adventure and returning to Iquitos Airport or your hotel.

June to November

During these months, modified itinerary includes:

Days 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7 remain unchanged.Day 2: Boat trip on the Amazon River, jungle walk in Ucayali, and dinner with live music.Day 3: Visit Vista Alegre community and butterfly farm, explore the meeting point of Ucayali and Marañon Rivers, and engage in piranha fishing.

Accommodation

Includes 6 nights' accommodation on a cruiser with full board. The La Perla cruise ship features two decks and an observation deck, with cabins designed with Amazonian aesthetics and equipped with essential amenities.
