Momon or San Antonio Rivers 6 or 7-Day Cruise

On this 6 to 7-day tour from Iquitos, we will travel along the Momon and San Antonio rivers, explore the Amazon basin, and visit a riverside community.

Description

Day 1

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Iquitos or the airport and transfer to the riverport to begin our boat ride along the Amazon River. Our first stop will be a natural reserve to observe Victoria Regia followed by a visit to an animal sanctuary to see various Amazonian species. We'll then reach our campsite on the Momon River and enjoy hiking and a nocturnal excursion.

Day 2

We start early for bird watching at sunrise, followed by breakfast. We will take a boat ride down the Momon River stopping to see sequoia trees. After lunch, we will fish for piranhas and end the day with a movie about the region.

Day 3

After bird watching and breakfast, we will visit Padrecocha village and return to camp for lunch. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a kayak tour along the Momon River before dinner and evening activities.

Day 4

We will have breakfast and navigate various rivers spotting pink dolphins. After exploring Belen, we will visit the native community of San Andres to learn about their culture, followed by a night walk.

Day 5

After breakfast, we will head to San Antonio to explore giant trees. There will be free time after lunch, followed by a nighttime jungle walk.

Day 6

Breakfast will be at camp before heading to Bellavista port for a tour of Iquitos. This includes a visit to the Plaza de Armas, Amazon Museum, the Belen neighborhood, and Quistococha. We will provide lunch and transport to your hotel or the airport, with estimated arrival at 5 PM.

7-Day Tour

This option follows the same itinerary for the first three days. On the fourth day, we will visit San Antonio for lunch and a guided jungle walk. The fifth day includes exploration with the community followed by river fishing and a return to camp for dinner. The sixth day covers visits to Belen and San Andres. Finally, we will conclude with the Iquitos and Quistococha tour on our last day, returning to your hotel or the airport by 5 PM.

Accommodation

The tour includes a 5-night stay with full board in the Amazon Camp Lodge, including buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rooms come equipped with private bathrooms. For the 7-day tour, one night will be spent in a San Antonio cabana. Prices are per person for double rooms. Children under 5 can participate for free when staying with an adult.
