Momon or San Antonio Rivers 6 or 7-Day Cruise

On this 6 to 7-day tour from Iquitos, participants will travel along the Momon and San Antonio rivers, explore the Amazon basin, and visit a riverside community.

Description

Day 1

Participants will be picked up at their hotel in Iquitos or the airport and transferred to the riverport to start a boat ride along the Amazon River. Stops include a natural reserve to see Victoria Regia and an animal sanctuary hosting various Amazonian species. The day concludes at our campsite after dinner and a jungle excursion.

Day 2

The second day begins with bird watching at sunrise followed by breakfast. A boat ride down the Momon River will lead to stops to see towering sequoia trees and allow for piranha fishing after lunch. The day wraps up with a movie related to the region.

Day 3

Day 3 continues with early bird watching and breakfast. Participants will then visit Padrecocha village, followed by a kayak tour along the Momon River.

Day 4

Breakfast is followed by navigation of multiple rivers, spotting pink dolphins, and exploring Belen. The afternoon includes visiting the native community of San Andres and experiencing its customs. The day concludes with a night walk.

Day 5

After breakfast, the group will journey to the riverside community of San Antonio for exploration and lunch. The afternoon is free, including a nighttime jungle walk.

Day 6

Breakfast leads to a tour of Iquitos, including visits to the Plaza de Armas, Amazon Museum, and the Belen neighborhood. Lunch will be at Quistococha before transportation back to the hotel or airport, concluding around 5 pm.

7-Day Tour

This option follows the same itinerary for the first three days. On Day 4, participants will share lunch with the tribe at San Antonio and enjoy a jungle walk. Day 5 includes river fishing and a return to the campsite. On Day 6, visits to Belen and San Andres will occur. The final day involves the Iquitos and Quistococha tour, returning participants by approximately 5 pm.

Accommodation

The tour includes a 5-night stay with full board at the Amazon Camp Lodge, featuring buffet meals. Rooms have private bathrooms. For the 7-day tour, the 4th night includes a stay in a San Antonio cabana. Prices are per person for double rooms, and children under 5 can participate for free when staying with an adult.
