Momon or San Antonio Rivers 6 or 7-Day Cruise

On this 6 to 7-day tour from Iquitos, participants will explore the Amazon basin via the Momon and San Antonio rivers and visit a riverside community.

Description

Day 1

Pickup is available from your hotel in Iquitos or the airport. Transfer to the riverport for a boat ride along the Amazon River, including stops at a natural reserve and an animal sanctuary to see local wildlife. Camp overnight at the mouth of the Momon River.

Day 2

Early morning bird watching followed by breakfast. A boat ride down the Momon River to observe sequoia trees. Return to camp for lunch and piranha fishing. Evening movie featuring the region.

Day 3

Sunrise bird watching and breakfast. Travel to Padrecocha village followed by lunch back at camp. Kayak tour of the Momon River in the afternoon before dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 4

Breakfast followed by navigation of the Momon, Nanay, Amazon, and Itaya rivers to see pink dolphins. Visit Belen and return to camp for lunch. Afternoon visit to the San Andres community for cultural experiences. Night walk around the camp.

Day 5

After breakfast, travel to San Antonio for a hike to see giant trees. Return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy a free afternoon. Nighttime jungle walk after dinner.

Day 6

Breakfast and a tour of Iquitos, including the Plaza de Armas, Amazon Museum, and Belen market. Lunch at Quistococha, followed by return transportation to your hotel or the airport by 5 pm.

7-Day Tour

This option follows the same itinerary for the first three days. On the fourth day, travel to San Antonio for lunch and a guided jungle walk. Spend the night in village huts after a community dinner. Day five includes jungle exploration, river fishing, and an overnight at the campsite. On the sixth day, visit Belen and the San Andres community. The final day is dedicated to the tour of Iquitos and Quistococha, with drop-off at your hotel or the airport by 5 pm.

Accommodation

The tour includes a 5-night stay with full board at the Amazon Camp Lodge, featuring buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rooms have private bathrooms. For the 7-day option, the 4th night includes a stay in a San Antonio cabana. Prices are per person for double rooms. Children under 5 can join for free when accompanied by an adult.
