Momon or San Antonio Rivers 6 or 7-Day Cruise

On this 6 to 7-day tour from Iquitos, we will travel along the Momon and San Antonio rivers, explore the Amazon basin, and visit a riverside community.

Description

Day 1

Pick up at your hotel in Iquitos or the airport and transfer to the city's riverport for a boat ride along the Amazon River. The journey includes stops at a natural reserve to observe Victoria Regia and an animal sanctuary for viewing monkeys, toucans, and anacondas. After reaching our campsite, enjoy lunch, a hike to meet the Boras tribe, dinner, and a nocturnal bird excursion.

Day 2

Start early for a sunrise bird watching session, followed by breakfast. Embark on a boat ride down the Momon River, stopping to see sequoia trees. Return for lunch, then engage in piranha fishing. Enjoy dinner and a movie featuring the region.

Day 3

Early bird watching, breakfast, then travel towards Padrecocha village to see butterflies. Return to camp for lunch, followed by a kayak tour along the Momon River. Conclude the day with dinner and relaxation at camp.

Day 4

After breakfast, navigate the Momon, Nanay, Amazon, and Itaya rivers to spot pink dolphins and explore Belen. Return for lunch then visit the native community of San Andres. Enjoy dinner followed by a night walk around the camp.

Day 5

Post-breakfast, travel down the Momon River to the riverside community of San Antonio, hike to see giant trees, and return for lunch. Enjoy a free afternoon, then a nighttime jungle walk after dinner.

Day 6

Breakfast at camp, followed by a trip to Bellavista port for a tour of Iquitos, including visits to Plaza de Armas, Amazon Museum, and the Belen neighborhood. After lunch at a restaurant in Quistococha, return to hotel or airport by 5 pm.

7-Day Tour

The 4th day involves sailing to San Antonio to share lunch and a jungle walk with local villagers. The 5th day includes breakfast in the jungle, returning for lunch and river fishing. On the 6th day, visit Belen and San Andres. Complete the tour of Iquitos and Quistococha on the last day with a 5 pm return to the hotel or airport.

Accommodation

Includes a 5-night stay with full board in the Amazon Camp Lodge with buffet-style meals. Rooms have private bathrooms, and the 4th night of the 7-day tour includes a stay in a San Antonio cabana. Prices are per person for double rooms, and children under 5 can participate for free when accompanied by an adult.
