Pacaya Samiria 3 Day Tour

Day 1

Pickup in Iquitos at 8 am, then travel by bus to Nauta. From there, travel to the Marañon River for a 3.5-hour boat trip, observing deep canyons. Afterward, set up camp and rest before dining on a typical Peruvian menu with vegetarian options available. Explore the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve by boat to Huaylla Lake and observe wildlife including herons and pink river dolphins. At night, search for tarantulas and listen to nocturnal animals.

Day 2

Begin with breakfast at camp before returning to Pacaya Samiria to set up camp for the night. Discover different flora and fauna, including the yellow-crowned parrot, sloths, and monkeys. Enjoy a night boat ride to observe caimans, turtles, and anacondas before returning to camp for the last night.

Day 3

This day focuses on Indigenous fishing traditions, including hunting for piranhas. After breakfast, return to the jungle for more wildlife observation. Enjoy a meal at camp before heading back to Nauta by boat and then taking a bus back to Iquitos.

5-Day Tour

Extend your experience with a 5-day tour, allowing 2 additional days in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.

Accommodation

Stay inside the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, choosing between a private room with a shared bathroom or camping in the jungle with provided accommodations. Options include 1 or 2 nights in each place, or 2 or 4 nights in the same accommodation.

Includes pickup from your hotel in Iquitos or at Iquitos Airport for flights arriving before 12 pm.
