3-Day Tour

Day 1

After pickup from the airport or your hotel in Iquitos, we will drive to the port of Nauta, where we will board a speedboat and start our journey down the Marañon River. We will view the pink dolphins and enjoy a traditional lunch. The trip concludes at a campsite in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. After setting up tents, we will explore the Huaylla Lagoon and have dinner in nature, followed by a nocturnal trekking route to look for wildlife.

Day 2

We will wake early to watch the sunrise and look for iguanas and sloths, followed by breakfast. We will navigate the Pucate River to observe species like monkeys and toucans before camping in the jungle for lunch. In the afternoon, we will walk through the jungle to a lake and learn about medicinal plants. After dinner, we will have a night canoe tour and return to camp to rest.

Day 3

On the final day, we will wake early to sail down the Yarapa River to see otters, followed by breakfast and lunch at the campsite. We will learn survival techniques and take a jungle hike, followed by free time for swimming. Finally, we will return to Nauta, arriving in Iquitos at 6 pm.

4-Day Tour

Days 1, 2, and 3

The 4-day tour extends the itinerary described for the first three days.

Day 4

We will wake before dawn for bird watching, enjoy lunch, and have free time to explore the Pucate River banks. We will then sail to Nauta and return to your hotel in Iquitos by 6 pm or to the airport three hours before your flight.

Accommodation

The tour includes two or three nights in camps within the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Accommodation will be in tents or tambos (Inca-origin refuges) along the river and lagoon banks. Complete camping equipment will be provided, including mats, sleeping bags, folding tables and chairs, and a first aid kit.

We can pick you up at your hotel in Iquitos or at the airport, provided you land before 12 pm. After your reservation, we will contact you to arrange the pickup time.
