3-Day Tour

Day 1

After pickup from the airport or your hotel in Iquitos, travel to the port of Nauta. Board a speedboat to begin the journey on the Marañon River, observing pink dolphins along the way. Enjoy a traditional lunch before arriving at a campsite in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. After setting up tents, explore the Huaylla Lagoon's ecosystem, followed by dinner and a nocturnal trek to search for tarantulas and scorpions.

Day 2

Wake early for sunrise and to spot iguanas and sloths, followed by breakfast. Navigate the Pucate River observing local wildlife, then camp in the jungle for lunch. In the afternoon, walk through the jungle to a lake and learn about medicinal plants. After dinner, enjoy a night canoe tour before returning to camp for the night.

Day 3

Depart early to sail down the Yarapa River for otter sightings. The day includes breakfast and lunch in the camping area and learning survival techniques. After a jungle hike, enjoy free time to swim in the river. The tour concludes with a return to Nauta, arriving in Iquitos by 6 pm.

4-Day Tour

Days 1, 2, and 3

The 4-day tour follows the same itinerary as the 3-day tour for the first three days.

Day 4

On the fourth day, wake before dawn to watch the reserve's birds, followed by lunch. Enjoy free time to explore the Pucate River banks, then sail to Nauta for a return to your hotel in Iquitos by 6 pm. An airport drop-off is available three hours before flight departure.

Accommodation

Depending on the tour option, accommodation includes two or three nights in tents or tambos in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, with complete camping equipment provided.

Pickup

Pickup from your hotel in Iquitos or the airport is available if you arrive by 12 pm. Contact will be made to arrange the pickup time after reservation.
