South Amazonia 4-Day Trip with Bird Spotting

Day 1

At 9:15 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Iquitos in a minibus and head to the port. We will take a boat to the lodge. After disembarking, we'll settle into our cabins and enjoy lunch. Then we'll take a walk to identify various plant types sought by birds, followed by dinner amidst the sounds of nature.

Day 2

We'll wake up before dawn to spot the endangered Crax Globulosa. After breakfast, we return to camp for lunch, then embark on a boat ride on the Yanayacu River. In the evening, we will watch the sunset over a lagoon and have dinner before venturing into the jungle to observe night birds.

Day 3

After breakfast, conditions permitting, we'll explore deep into the southern Peruvian Amazon to see monkeys, butterflies, insects, and various birds. Lunch follows, and we continue to Corrientillo lagoon for more bird watching. After dinner, we have another night walk.

Day 4

In the early morning, we'll sail to the Amazon islands to see endemic birds. Breakfast will be served on board while we observe species of the high jungle, including the pink dolphin and Victoria Regia plant. After lunch, we will return to Iquitos, arriving around 4 pm.

Tour Accommodation

This tour includes 3 nights full board accommodation in a double room at Muyuna Amazon Lodge, featuring private bathrooms and a terrace with hammocks facing the river.
