Day 1

At 9:15 am, pickup from your hotel in Iquitos will occur in a minibus, followed by a transfer to the port. A boat trip will take you to the lodge.

Upon arrival, you will settle into the cabins and enjoy a meal. Later, a walk will allow for the identification of different plant types birds seek. The day concludes with dinner while enjoying natural sounds.

Day 2

Wake up early to spot the Crax Globulosa, an endangered bird with distinctive coloring. After returning for lunch, a boat ride on the Yanayacu River will occur, followed by sunset observation over a lagoon. The day ends with dinner and a night excursion to see nocturnal birds.

Day 3

After breakfast, conditions permitting, an exploration into the southern Peruvian Amazon will commence to view monkeys, butterflies, insects, and birds. Lunch and further adventures at the Corrientillo lagoon will follow, with more birdwatching opportunities. Dinner will precede another night walk.

Day 4

Early morning departure from camp to sail to the Amazon islands for endemic birds. Breakfast will be served onboard as you observe species from the high jungle, including the pink dolphin and the Victoria Regia plant. After lunch, return to Iquitos is expected around 4 pm.

Accommodation

This tour includes 3 nights full board accommodation in a double room at Muyuna Amazon Lodge, featuring private bathrooms and terraces with hammocks facing the river.

Flight schedule

If your flight schedule does not align with the itinerary, adjustments can be made for a late pickup at an additional cost. It is recommended to travel during daylight, with a maximum departure time of 3 pm.
