Yanayacu River 3, 4 or 5-Day Tour

Day 1

Pickup from Iquitos hotel at 9 am, followed by a 90-minute minibus ride to the port. A small boat will take us to the lodge for 2 nights. After settling in and enjoying a buffet lunch, we'll explore the local flora. We will then watch the sunset over a lagoon, have dinner, and embark on a night boat trip to observe exotic wildlife.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will travel by boat to see pink dolphins and the Victoria Regia water plant. Lunch at the lodge will be followed by an option to fish for piranhas. We will then visit San Juan de Yanayacu community for cultural insights and dinner, concluding with a search for tarantulas and giant frogs.

Day 3

Following breakfast, we will visit Sapote lagoon to observe local birdlife, then Moena lagoon to view sloth bears and monkeys. After lunch at camp, we will return to Iquitos, arriving at the port around 4 pm for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.

4-day Tour

This option follows the same itinerary as the 3-day tour. The afternoon of the third day focuses on a guided botany tour. On the fourth day, we will visit Casha Lagoon for more bird and monkey sightings before enjoying a buffet lunch and returning to Iquitos.

5-day Tour

This tour includes the same activities as previous options, adding sightings of the Hoatzin bird, white and howler monkeys, and a trip to Juanachi lagoon.

Accommodation

The tour includes 2, 3, or 4 nights full board accommodation in a double room at Muyuna Amazon Lodge, featuring private bathrooms and terraces with hammocks.

Flight Times

If your flight times don't match our schedule, we can adjust for late pickups with an additional fee. Daylight travel is preferred, with the latest departure at 3 pm.
