- 3 - 5 Stunden
- 10/10 | 3 Bewertungen
On this private tour to Ahu Akivi, Puna Pau, and Ana Te Pahu, we will explore significant cultural sites on Easter Island.
Description
We will begin by picking you up from your accommodation at the scheduled time. Our first destination is Ana Te Pahu, an extensive cave approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) long. Historically, these caves served as a refuge for the ancient inhabitants of Rapa Nui, the island's native name. Here, we will view cave paintings and learn about the island's history.
Next, we will visit Ahu Akivi, a sacred site featuring 7 Moai sculptures. These statues are believed to honor the explorers who discovered Rapa Nui, originating from the island of Hiva.
We will continue to Puna Pau, a small crater where pukaos, the distinctive volcanic rock headdresses, are crafted. We will explore the traditional techniques used to create these unique features seen atop some Moais.
The tour lasts between 3 to 5 hours, after which we will return you to your hotel.
