Easter Island and Anakena Beach Trip
After hotel pickup at the indicated time, we'll commence our tour of Easter Island, traveling along the East coast.
First, we visit Ahu Akahanga, where you'll see the remains of a settlement and the tomb of King Hotu Matu'a, with insights into local history.
Next, we stop at Ahu Tongariki, the largest sanctuary, where 15 moai statues were restored in the 90s after being destroyed in the 18th century.
Then, we proceed to the volcanic crater of Rano Raraku, the quarry for most moai on the island. We'll explore the unfinished moai and learn about 'El Gigante,’ the largest moai intended.
We will take a break for lunch amidst the 390 moai statues at Rano Raraku. You may bring your own food or opt for a picnic menu, which includes a sandwich, hard-boiled egg, nuts, cereal bar, fruit, and a bottle of mineral water.
After lunch, we'll visit the smaller Ahu Te Pito Kura before reaching Anakena beach to admire Ahu Nau Nau and enjoy the white sand. The tour concludes after seven hours with a return to your hotel.
