Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel on Easter Island to embark on this adventure along the coastline of Hanga Roa.

At Hanga Piko, the fishing port of the island's capital, we'll meet with a Rapa Nui native and expert fisherman who will guide us. We'll board a boat and venture into the Pacific, sailing along the coast of Hanga Roa.

While enjoying the views of the island from the water, we'll learn about the traditional fishing techniques used for generations by the Rapa Nui. We'll observe the use of the handmade hook and harpoon, and learn how locals hold their breath for two minutes to catch fish.

After the fishing demonstration, we'll continue exploring the coast of Hanga Roa, including its cliffs and caves. On the boat, we'll learn about the rich history and culture of Rapa Nui. Optionally, you can take a dip and go snorkelling.

We'll gradually return to Hanga Piko, concluding this fishing experience after a total of 3-4 hours of activity, and return you to your accommodation.
