Constructed in 1960, the capital of Pakistan houses architectural treasures. Discover them on our guided tour of Islamabad in English.

Islamabad Private Tour

We will start our English language tour by picking you up from your hotel and heading to the iconic Faisal Mosque, one of the largest Islamic temples in the world. During the visit, we will explore its history, which like many buildings in the city, dates back to the 1960s.

Next to the mosque, at the foot of the Margalla hills, we will visit the mausoleum of General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. To appreciate the hills and the architecture of both the mosque and mausoleum, we will go to the Daman e Kok viewpoint. From here, we can see the city’s urban layout, Lake Rawal, and the skyscrapers of Islamabad's Blue Area.

We will then head to Pir Sohawa, located 5000 feet above sea level. This tourist resort offers several viewpoints for a different perspective of Islamabad and its surroundings, helping to understand the history of modern Pakistan. You will learn about the creation of a new megalopolis in the north of the country in the mid-20th century.

In Pir Sohawa, we will pause at the Monal Restaurant for lunch on your own. This restaurant opened in 2006 and offers extraordinary views. It is recommended to taste the local cuisine while enjoying the scenery.

After lunch, we will return you to your hotel in Islamabad.
