Description
Your adventure begins with a convenient hotel pickup in Koper at 9 am. Prepare to indulge your taste buds as we set off to explore the delights of Istrian cuisine.
The first destination is Hum, renowned as the world’s smallest city. Nestled in the heart of the Istrian peninsula, this quaint Croatian town is steeped in a fascinating history surrounding its origins. Alongside uncovering this myth, we will experience the local specialty known as biska, a flavorful brandy infused with spices, made according to an ancient recipe unique to Hum. It’s a treat you won’t want to miss!
Continuing our journey, we’ll arrive at Motovun, celebrated as one of the region's most iconic medieval towns. While exploring its key historical sites, including the tower of St. Stephen's Church, we’ll also delve into the town’s prized ingredient, the truffle.
The Motovun forest is famed for its white truffles and is surrounded by flourishing vineyards. Following this, we’ll visit a local restaurant where you can learn to prepare a dish featuring typical regional ingredients, culminating in a delicious tasting experience. Savor every bite!
Your culinary exploration continues in Grožnjan, a picturesque village filled with charm at every turn. Here, you will discover the wine and olive oil industry of the region, along with a rich array of art galleries that showcase local talent.
We will conclude our food tour with a return trip to Koper, arriving by 5 pm.
