Cholula & Talavera Factory Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Puebla to go to the archaeological site of Cholula.
We'll take a 2-hour tour of this complex, which houses the largest pyramid in Mesoamerica, noted for being larger than the pyramid of Giza.
Although the Great Pyramid of Cholula hasn't been fully excavated, we'll explore accessible areas, including the Patio of the Altars with its three mysterious altars. We'll also climb to the top of the pyramid, where the 16th-century Church of Los Remedios is situated.
After the visit to Cholula, we’ll stop at the Church of Santa Maria Tonantzintla, known for its baroque art, and the Church of San Francisco Acatepec, recognized for its ceramic mosaics and red brick façade.
We will conclude the excursion with a tour of a Talavera pottery factory, learning about its history and viewing various artisan pieces.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Puebla, completing the tour 5-6 hours after the initial pickup.
