Izta-Popo Zoquiapan National Park Hike

We will pick you up from your hotel in Puebla and travel to the Izta-Popo Zoquiapan National Park. The journey includes a stop at the Paso de Cortés before we reach the La Joyita parking lot to begin our hiking route.

The hike will follow the Ruta de los Portillos, a 4-kilometer trail featuring icy landscapes and deserted areas. Throughout the hike, you will enjoy views of the park's Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl volcanoes while learning their legends and those of the servants of Tláloc.

We will stop for a tasty quesadilla and a hot drink during the hike. As we continue, keep an eye out for local wildlife, including coyotes, badgers, lizards, and deer in the coniferous forests. Mycology enthusiasts may also spot various fungi species in the area. The experience will be unique.

After 4 hours of hiking, we will return to the main parking lot and head back to your hotel in Puebla, arriving around 5 pm.
