Pico de Orizaba 2 Day Hiking Tour

Day 1: Puebla - Pico de Orizaba

After picking you up at your hotel in Puebla at 8:30 am, we will head east toward Pico de Orizaba. Upon arrival in Tlachichuca, we will switch from the minibus to a 4x4 vehicle, which will take us to the north refuge of Pico de Orizaba. There, we will set up our tent and have lunch. A short hike will be conducted for acclimatization, followed by free time in the afternoon. Dinner will be served, and we will retire early to rest for the next day's hike.

Day 2: Pico de Orizaba - Puebla

At 12:30 am, we will have breakfast at the refuge and commence our trek on Pico de Orizaba under the stars. The ascent to the summit at 5747 meters (18854.99 feet) will take approximately 8 hours. We will explore the area, learning about its formation and the unique feature of frozen lava on this volcano.

During the hike, we will enjoy stunning landscapes and familiarize ourselves with the flora and fauna of the high mountains. A beautiful sunrise awaits us as we descend back to base camp, which will take around 4 hours. After the trek, we will have a meal at the refuge before returning to the 4x4.

We expect to conclude the tour between 5 pm and 6 pm at your hotel in Puebla.
