No trip to India is complete without a visit to the magical Taj Mahal in Agra. This full-day trip from Jaipur offers an opportunity to experience one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Description

After an early pickup from your hotel in Jaipur, you’ll travel east in an air-conditioned vehicle. The journey lasts approximately four hours, with a comfort break included.

You will arrive in Agra around 10:30 am and be taken directly to the Taj Mahal, commissioned in 1632 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his favorite wife. The construction, completed in 1651, involved about 20,000 workers and 1000 elephants. Explore the historical site and learn about its history.

After visiting the impressive complex of buildings, including the striking mausoleum, you’ll have lunch at a local restaurant (lunch not included).

Your next stop is the Agra Fort, built by emperor Akbar in 1565 to protect the capital. The fort is one of the largest and most luxurious in India, providing incredible views of the Taj Mahal.

Finally, around 5 pm, you will depart back to Jaipur, with an expected arrival time of 9 pm.
