No trip to India is complete without a visit to the magical Taj Mahal in Agra. Fall in love with one of the Seven Wonders of the World on this full-day trip from Jaipur.

Description

After an early pickup from your hotel in Jaipur, you’ll travel east by air-conditioned vehicle. During the four-hour journey, there will be a stop for a comfort break.

Arriving in Agra around 10:30 am, you’ll visit the Taj Mahal, commissioned in 1632 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his wife. The monument was completed in 1651, involving about 20,000 workers. It stands today as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You will learn about its history while exploring the site.

After touring the complex, you’ll go to a local restaurant for lunch (not included) featuring local specialties.

Your next stop will be Agra Fort, built in 1565 by emperor Akbar to protect the capital. It is one of India’s largest and most luxurious fortresses, offering incredible views of the Taj Mahal.

Finally, around 5 pm, you’ll return to Jaipur, arriving around 9 pm.
