Having been picked up from your hotel in Jaipur, you'll head to the east of Rajasthan.

After an approximately two hour drive, you'll arrive in the village of Abhaneri. The medieval architecture allows you to explore the history of the Rajputs, a warrior caste that controlled much of Rajasthan between the 6th and 12th centuries.

Your first stop will be at the Chand Baori in Abhaneri, one of the largest stepwells in India, featuring 3500 narrow steps leading down to a well approximately 100 feet (30 m) deep. This structure, used for public baths, has stored water for over a thousand years. It exemplifies ancient techniques for managing water during dry seasons.

Next to Chand Baori, you'll see the Harshat Mata Temple, built in the 7th and 8th centuries. Despite damage from invasions in the 10th century, it remains a significant representation of ancient Indian architecture. Inside, you can admire the elaborately carved stone sculptures that reflect Hindu religion and culture.

Concluding your tour, you'll visit a local restaurant for a break and to enjoy typical Indian cuisine (not included). After your meal, you'll return to your hotel in Jaipur.
