Renowned for their beautiful Hindu and Muslim temples, Puskar and Ajmer are two of Rajasthan's most sacred cities. Discover them on this fascinating private tour!

Description

After being picked up from your hotel in Jaipur, you'll head into the heart of the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Your first stop will be in the sacred city of Pushkar, one of the country's oldest settlements. Its origins include a legend that Lord Brahma, the Hindu creator, dropped a lotus flower into the valley, resulting in a holy lake. The Jagatpita Brahma Mandir, one of the few temples dedicated to Brahma, is located at the site of a yagna or ritual offering. Explore customs and traditions of Hinduism inside the colorful temple.

Just a five-minute walk from the Brahma Temple is the sacred Pushkar lake, where locals participate in purification rituals and bathing at the ghats.

Continue your tour with a brief stroll to the Pushkar market, featuring stalls with handicrafts and handmade items. After exploring, you’ll have free time for lunch (not included).

After lunch, you’ll head to the nearby city of Ajmer, home to the iconic Dargah Sharif, a shrine dedicated to the Muslim saint Moinuddin Chishti. You will have the chance to enter the monument and admire its beauty.

From Ajmer, you'll return to your hotel in Jaipur.
