Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Jaipur and head to a traditional printmaking studio. Bring a garment to print, or we’ll provide fabric.

Once in the workshop, you'll receive all the necessary materials: fabrics, dyes, tools, and stencils. During the class, we'll learn the basics of traditional Indian printmaking, a technique that dates back several centuries, using natural dyes extracted from plants and minerals.

Throughout the session, we'll try different stamping techniques, like block stamping using carved wooden blocks and silkscreen printing for intricate patterns. We will also use stencils to create customized designs and create your own designs through drawing, painting, and digital design techniques.

After 2 creative hours, we’ll take you back to your hotel with a personalized piece and a deeper appreciation for Jaipur’s textile heritage.
