At the agreed-upon time, we'll meet at Xàbia Posit to begin our journey, which encompasses visits to the highlights of Xàbia and its port.
We'll start by visiting the Xàbia Yacht Club, exploring the history of the Xàbia port and its role in the export of raisins as an economic staple in the 20th century. We'll also discuss local wines and the concept of the “Riu Rau.”
Next, we'll make a brief stop at the Fishermen's Guild to analyze the distinctive fishing methods in Xàbia, known for its unique techniques.
Then, we'll pass by the Our Lady of Loreto Parish, examining the avant-garde architecture of the 20th century before moving on to the Joaquín Sorolla Sculpture, discussing Joaquín Sorolla's connection to Xàbia, his contribution to Impressionism, and his absence from the city.
Our next destination will be the Casa del Cable, reflecting on its importance in the 19th century, where the first cable connecting the Balearic Islands to the Peninsula was constructed. We'll then head to Triana Bridge, exploring the origin of this neighborhood's name, also known as “Aduanas del Mar.”
