Tour Details
At the agreed-upon time, we'll meet at Xàbia Posit to begin our journey, which will include visits to the iconic highlights of Xàbia and its port.
We'll start by visiting the Xàbia Yacht Club, where we'll explore the history of the Xàbia port and its role in the export of raisins as an economic staple in the 20th century. Discussions will also include local wines and the concept of the “Riu Rau.”
Next, we'll make a brief stop at the Fishermen's Guild to analyze the distinctive fishing method in Xàbia, known for its unique techniques and perilous nature.
We will pass by the Our Lady of Loreto Parish, immersing ourselves in the avant-garde architecture of the 20th century, and then move on to the Joaquín Sorolla Sculpture, discussing Sorolla's relationship with Xàbia, his contribution to Impressionism, and the mystery surrounding his absence from the city.
Our next destination will be the Casa del Cable, significant in the 19th century as the site of the first cable connecting the Balearic Islands to the Peninsula. Then, we'll head to Triana Bridge to explore the origin of this neighborhood's name, known as “Aduanas del Mar.”
Finally, we'll proceed to Platja del Primer Muntanyar, a great spot for sunsets in Xàbia. We'll discuss iconic places such as Cabo de la Nau, Baños de la Reina, and the First Montañar. After an hour and a half, our tour will conclude.
