Fresnillo & Plateros Excursion

We'll leave at the time of your choice from your hotel in Zacatecas towards Fresnillo, the mining capital of Mexico.

Upon arrival, we will learn about historical figures from Fresnillo, such as the painter Francisco Goitia and the composer Tomás Méndez. Then, we will enter the Proaño mine, one of the most profitable silver mines in the world.

We will explore various aspects of the mine and, at the end of the visit, we will head to the nearby town of Plateros. In Plateros, we will visit the Sanctuary of the Niño de Atocha, an important center of Catholic veneration in Mexico.

The carving of the Santo Niño de Atocha attracts pilgrims from various regions and countries, and the reasons for its reverence will be explained during the tour.

After our visit, we will return to Zacatecas, arriving at your hotel approximately four hours after pickup.
