Sombrerete Tour

Are you a film-buff? Then this excursion is not to be missed. We'll leave Zacatecas for the magical town of Sombrerete, where many Mexican films have been made.

Sombrerete Tour

We'll pick you up at 8 am at your hotel in Zacatecas and head north towards the 'Pueblo Mágico' Magic Town of Sombrerete.

Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour through the historic centre of Sombrerete, where we will view prominent monuments, including the churches of Santa Veracruz, Santo Domingo, San Francisco, and San Juan.

After the tour, you'll have one hour for lunch in the historic centre of Sombrerete. The local cuisine, including asados, moles, enchiladas, and pacholas, offers a variety of options.

After lunch, we'll depart for the Sierra de Órganos National Park. This stunning natural area has been a filming location for several Mexican movies, including El cavernícola, Gringo viejo, and Bienvenido paisano.

We will discuss interesting cinematographic facts related to the films shot in and around Sombrerete. Following this, we will return to your hotel in Zacatecas, arriving by 5 pm.
