Sombrerete Tour

Are you a film-buff? Then this excursion is not to be missed. We'll leave Zacatecas for the magical town of Sombrerete, where many Mexican films have been made.

Sombrerete Tour

We'll pick you up at 8 am at your hotel in Zacatecas and head north towards the 'Pueblo Mágico' Magic Town of Sombrerete.

Upon arrival, we'll take a guided walking tour through the historic centre of Sombrerete, where we will see significant monuments including the churches of Santa Veracruz, Santo Domingo, San Francisco, and San Juan.

After the tour, you'll have an hour free for lunch in the historic centre of Sombrerete. The cuisine features options such as asados, moles, enchiladas, pacholas.

Post-lunch, we'll depart for the Sierra de Órganos National Park, known for being a filming location for several Mexican movies including El cavernícola, Gringo viejo, and Bienvenido paisano.

We will discuss interesting cinematographic facts about these films and their connection to Sombrerete. Following the tour, we will return to your hotel in Zacatecas, arriving at 5 pm.
