Bodegas Álvaro Domecq, established in 1850 by Pilar Aranda, the first woman winemaker in the Marco de Jerez region, has maintained its artisan essence under recent ownership aimed at producing quality wines. Since 1998, it has crafted sherry wines, brandies, and vinegars that reflect a blend of elegance and tradition. The production process involves aging sherry wines in American oak casks using the solera and criaderas system. Bodegas Álvaro Domecq is part of Terraselecta, committed to producing wines from Spain's top wine-growing areas, defending native grape varieties. It markets its wines in 35 different countries.

A guided tour of Bodegas Álvaro Domecq includes visits to various wineries such as the Bodega de Oloroso, Bodega Duque de Veragua, Bodega de Vinos Finos, and Bodega del Vinagre with an English-speaking guide.
