With this ticket to the Domecq Palace, you'll discover one of the finest examples of 18th-century Jerez Baroque architecture with an audio guide included!
Description
Located in Plaza Aladro square, in the historic centre of Jerez de la Frontera, the Domecq Palace is a notable example of 18th-century baroque architecture. Your ticket includes an English audioguide with information about the palace's various rooms. The construction of this unique building began in 1775, commissioned by Antonio Cabezas de Aranda y Guzmán, the first Marquis of Montana, and was completed in 1778.
The audio guide details the evolution of the palace, which became the home of the Domecq family in 1855, a primary winemaking family in Spain that significantly impacted the country's wine tradition.
During the tour, you will view areas such as the colonnaded courtyard, board room, dining room, library, ballroom, fireplace hall, and the office of the Marquis of Domecq. The tour lasts 45 minutes and concludes at the main entrance of the palace.
