Jerusalem Walking Tour
- 10 Stunden
Discover the secrets, enigmas, and legends of the Holy City for the three principal monotheistic religions on a guided tour of Jerusalem.
Description
The tour begins with hotel pickup at the scheduled time. We start by ascending Mount Scopus for views of the old city. The journey continues to the Gardens of Gethsemani and the Church of All Nations as we move into the old town.
We will walk along HaKardo, the main street from Jerusalem's Byzantine period, visiting the Western Wall, the last remnants of the ancient Temple of Jerusalem. You may leave a note with your wishes in the wall's crevices. Behind the wall is the Dome of the Rock, a significant Islamic shrine.
In the Christian Quarter, we visit the Holy Sepulchre church, located at the site of Jesus' crucifixion. We will also follow the Via Dolorosa Street, retracing his steps.
After a midday break for lunch at a local restaurant, we will explore modern Jerusalem, noting the architecture of the Parliament of Israel and visiting the Holocaust Museum to reflect on recent history.
After 10 hours of exploration, the tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
Important
On Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays, the Holocaust Museum visit is replaced with a visit to Miskenot Sha'ananim, the first Jewish neighborhood outside the ancient city.
