Discover all the secrets, enigmas, and legends of the Holy City for the three principal monotheistic religions on this guided tour that explores Jerusalem's history and culture.
Description
After hotel pickup at the scheduled time, we will start our guided tour of Jerusalem. The tour begins at Mount Scopus for views of the old city, then proceeds to the Gardens of Gethsemani and the Church of All Nations as we head to the old town.
We will traverse HaKardo, the main street from Jerusalem's Byzantine period. In the Jewish Quarter, we will visit the Western Wall, the last remnants of the ancient Temple of Jerusalem. Behind the wall is the Dome of the Rock, a significant Islamic shrine.
Next, we tour the Christian Quarter, encountering the Holy Sepulchre church, built on the site of Jesus' crucifixion. We will also follow his path on the Via Dolorosa Street.
Midday, there is an hour of free time to eat at a local restaurant. Afterward, we will visit the modern area of Jerusalem, seeing the Parliament of Israel and the Holocaust Museum to reflect on recent history.
Our tour will conclude after 10 hours back at your hotel.
Important
On Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays, the visit to the Holocaust Museum will be replaced with a visit to Miskenot Sha'ananim, the first Jewish neighbourhood outside the ancient city.
