On this tour of the Mount of Olives we'll discover the history and facts about one of the most symbolic places in Jerusalem.

Mount of Olives Walking Tour

At the appointed time we'll meet at the Jaffa Gate. From there we'll travel by bus to the Mount of Olives, a symbol of Jerusalem. We will first stop at the foot of the Mount to visit the Jewish cemetery, which is considered to be one of the oldest cemeteries in the world.

After the cemetery visit, we'll climb to the top of the Mount of Olives for panoramic views of Jerusalem and to discuss the significance of this place for Christians. The tour will then continue to the area surrounding the Mount, including visits to the Chapel of the Ascension and the Church of Dominus Flevit.

The next stop will be the garden of Gethsemane, where, according to the New Testament, Jesus prayed before his arrest. We will also visit the tomb of the Virgin Mary, another significant site at the foot of the Mount of Olives.

Finally, after a three-hour tour, we will conclude our tour of the Mount of Olives at the Lions' Gate.
