Description
At the scheduled time, we'll begin this tour of Orthodox Jewish culture around Jerusalem in Davidka Square, at the bus stop just in front of the Abraham Jerusalem Hostel.
During the tour, you'll discover the significance of the curls of the Orthodox Jews and the reasons behind their characteristic black attire. We will explore key areas in Jerusalem with high attendance from this Jewish religious community.
The tour will start at the Mahane Yehuda Market, focusing on the foods commonly consumed by Orthodox Jews. We will also visit shops that cater to their religious needs as we proceed to the Zichron Moshe neighbourhood.
Next, we will head to the district of Mea She'arim, home to Ultraorthodox Jews. Here, we will learn about their social and religious customs, beliefs, and rites. Our final stop will be the Ge'ula neighbourhood to gain further insight into their way of life.
The tour will last 2.5 hours and will conclude in the vicinity of our starting point.
