This exploration of Orthodox Jewish culture offers an insightful look into the traditions and daily practices of the local community. We will stroll through the neighborhoods of Jerusalem where practitioners of this faith reside.

Description

Our journey will commence at the designated time at Davidka Square, right by the bus stop located in front of the Abraham Jerusalem Hostel.

What do the curls worn by Orthodox Jews signify? Why is their attire predominantly black? These questions will be addressed as we navigate the significant sites in Jerusalem frequently visited by this noteworthy Jewish religious community.

We will initiate our visit at the Mahane Yehuda Market, exploring the traditional foods favored by Orthodox Jews. The community also frequents various stores that cater to their specific beliefs. Our exploration will guide us through shops found in the Zichron Moshe neighborhood.

As we proceed, our tour will take us to Mea She'arim, a district in northern Jerusalem inhabited by Ultraorthodox Jews. Here, we will delve into their cultural customs, religious practices, and beliefs. Our next stop will be the Ge'ula neighborhood, where we will further explore the lifestyle of this religious group.

Ultimately, this 2.5-hour experience will conclude in the area where we initially gathered.
