Petra & Wadi Rum 2-Day Tour

Can you imagine going on a desert safari and exploring one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World? On this 2-day tour to Petra and Wadi Rum from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, we will also visit the city of Aqaba.

Itinerary

Day 1: Jerusalem - Aqaba - Wadi Rum

We will meet at the specified location in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv and travel by bus to Aqaba, approximately a 4-hour journey across the border between Israel and Jordan. In Aqaba, we will take a guided tour exploring narrow streets, mosques, and souks, including a visit to the Mamluk Castle.

After lunch, we will embark on a four-wheel drive tour of Wadi Rum. This desert, known as the Valley of the Moon, is famous for its Star Wars filming locations, with stunning landscapes. We will view geological formations such as the Seven Pillars of Wisdom and the Um Furth arch.

The day concludes at our campsite, where we will watch the sunset and enjoy dinner.

Day 2: Wadi Rum - Petra - Jerusalem

We will start with an early breakfast and then travel by bus from Wadi Rum to Petra, a 2.5-hour journey. A small picnic can be purchased for breakfast on board. In Petra, we will explore this ancient Nabataean capital, over 2,300 years old, with a guided tour highlighting its impressive rock carvings.

We will walk through the Siq Gorge, visit multiple temples, and take photos of key sites such as the Petra Treasury and the Nabataean Theatre. You'll have 2 hours of free time in Petra before we have lunch and return to Israel, scheduled to arrive between 2 am and 3:15 am.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night at the Magic Rum Camp on a half-board basis. Options include standard and superior double rooms with private bathrooms and Wi-Fi. In case of unavailability, accommodations will be in a similar camp.
